West Ham United will play host to FCSB on Thursday night at the London Stadium in the first round of the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League campaign.
The Hammers have struggled to impress this season and are in the relegation position in the Premier League. The same can be said for their visitor FCSB who have also struggled with slow starts to their league games.
However, they played well enough in the Conference League qualifiers to win 4-3 on aggregate against Saburtalo Tbilisi. Next, they won 2-0 on aggregate against DAC 1904 in the next round. FCSB then played Viking FK in the playoffs and won 4-3.
The Romanian side last appeared in the group stages of a European competition back in the 2017/18 season and will be looking to win on their return to European competition.
West Ham will obviously have other plans which is to thwart FCSB plans by defeating them at home.
