Manchester United vs Brentford: Match Preview and Betting Prediction

Match Preview

In midweek, Man United were once again indebted to Cristiano Ronaldo, whose equaliser against Chelsea salvaged a point for the Red Devils in a game they deserved little from.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League table, five points outside the top four, with only 3 games remaining.

Brentford, on the other hand, is in twelfth place. The Bees are 11 points clear of the relegation zone and 15 points behind Manchester United in the Premier League table.

Man United’s next two matches are against Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace, and they can only finish with a maximum of 64 points, which is already their lowest-ever Premier League total, so it might be a record-breaking season for the club for all the wrong reasons.

Man United’s chances of finishing in the top four have vanished after losing three of their past five games and winning just one of their last six in the Premier League, leaving them in sixth position in the table, five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

The 20-time English champions are in a tight race for a Europa League spot, three points ahead of seventh-placed West Ham United, who have a game in hand. However, Wolverhampton Wanderers are only six points behind and have two games in hand, so Ralf Rangnick’s side could miss out entirely.

Brentford will come into this encounter in fantastic form, having picked up 10 points from their last four Premier League games, including victories over Chelsea, West Ham United, and Watford, as well as a goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

Brentford have won five of their previous seven league games, with only one defeat, to allay any relegation fears, and they will conclude the season with games against Southampton, Everton, and Leeds United.

The Bees, who are participating in the English Premier League for the first time since 1946-47, were defeated 3-1 by Man United in the opposite fixture in January.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool: Team News

Alejandro Garnacho made his Red Devils debut against Chelsea and will be hoping to play again. It would not be surprising to see the same starting XI featured against the Blues. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Fred, and Jesse Lingard might all return, while Jadon Sancho is fighting tonsillitis and may not be able to play until the end of the season.

Christian Eriksen, who has been in superb form and instrumental for Brentford’s recent form in the second half of the season, will start in central midfield once more, while Ivan Toney, who has 12 league goals this season, will be joined in attack by Bryan Mbeumo.

Manchester United vs Brentford: Match Prediction

Brentford’s recent form makes this a difficult match to predict, but Man United showed character in the second half against Chelsea and will be anxious for a positive result in their final home encounter of the season. Brentford to score in both halves is our prediction.
