Azerbaijan GP race preview
As Formula 1 returns to Baku this weekend with the seventh Azerbaijan Grand Prix, team Red Bull will be hoping to continue their four-race winning streak while Ferrari will hope for a revival of their season with a second win.
Practice sessions will zoom off today with everyone eye’s on the dynamic between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez – the two Red Bull drivers. At the beginning of the season, Verstappen the reigning world champion was easily touted as the favourite Red Bull driver for title contender but Perez has shown since the beginning of the season that it could swing either way.
Max Verstappen, who now leads the championship table by 9 points and Charles Leclerc on his tails at second, arrived in Baku on a four-race winning streak and hopes to achieve a fifth race win.
Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, who sits sixth on the driver’s ranking has had an uneventful 2022 season with Mercedes that would come as a shock to many and even himself will be looking for a renaissance in Baku on Sunday.

Prediction for the Azerbaijan GP main race winner
Verstappen is more likely to win this race based on his form this season, the form of his car and the outstanding Red Bull strategy. Moreover, the Azerbaijan track layout (long straight and fast-speed sections in the first and third sectors) highly favours Red Bull. Hence, we predict a race win for Max Verstappen!
