Chelsea vs Liverpool match preview & betting prediction

Match preview

For the second time this season, Liverpool and Chelsea will reignite rivalries at Wembley Stadium with a trophy on the line for the  141st FA Cup final.

The FA Cup is the sole piece of domestic trophy on the line for the London club this season, and Crystal Palace were no match for the Blues’ domination in the semi-finals.

Liverpool defeated Man City in one of their many dominating clashes to reach the main event, while the thought of a quadruple lingers in the minds of the Liverpool fans, exhaustion may have started to show in their last few games. As they looked a little flat against Tottenham Hotspur, and had unlimited access against Aston Villa in midweek but never took advantage of their opportunities.

With the margin between Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table at three points with only two league games remaining, Liverpool would like to concentrate on winning this for their fans.

The Blues ended a three-game Premier League winless streak with a 3-0 victory over Leeds United on Wednesday, as Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, and Romelu Lukaku added to the Whites’ relegation fears.

Chelsea vs Liverpool team news

If it’s due to the diligent work of the medical staff or simply good luck, Liverpool’s treatment room has been largely empty during their hectic season, with Roberto Firmino back on the bench at Villa Park with a foot injury.

However, the Reds were handed a fatal blow when Fabinho walked out with an apparent hamstring injury in Tuesday night’s win, and the extent of the midfielder’s injury is now unknown. Thiago Alcantara, Ibrahima Konate, Jordan Henderson, and Mohamed Salah are also expected to return to the starting lineup, with  Sadio Mane and star signing Luis Diaz also starting.

In midweek, Chelsea saw one of their midfield constants leave the field with a worrying injury, as Mateo Kovacic was the victim of a horrible tackle from Daniel James at Elland Road, for which the Leeds man was sent off. N’Golo Kante’s return would also be anticipated, but Tuchel is “90 percent certain” that Jorginho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be in the starting lineup for Saturday’s final, which Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi will witness from the stands.

Chelsea vs Liverpool prediction

With their depth and present form, Liverpool start as favourites, but if there is one club that has been able to upset Jurgen Klopp’s men, it is Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea, who will seek to hit on the counter-attack.

We predict Both teams to score and 2nd half over 1.5
