Match preview
Brighton and Man United meet at the Amex on Saturday evening, both looking to build on 3-0 victories in their most recent Premier League meetings.
Last Saturday, Graham Potter’s side humiliated Wolve at Molineux, while the Red Devils won a confidence-boosting game against Brentford.
Brighton are riding comfortably in ninth position, but Leicester City are only two points below with two games in hand due to their Europa Conference League ‘wahala’.
Brighton enjoyed significant wins over Wolves, Arsenal, and Tottenham earlier in the season, which should give the home crowd optimism for a memorable result against the Red Devils.
However, home hasn’t been where the heart lies for Brighton in recent weeks. They are yet to win at home in the Premier League in 2022, drawing four and losing four games since their Boxing Day success against Brentford.
The win against Brentford puts Man United in sixth place in the Premier League table, five points behind Arsenal, who have two games in hand, so anything other than a win this weekend means the Red Devils may formally say goodbye to their European League dreams.
Three points may only be enough to postpone the inevitable if Arsenal wins at Leeds United the next day, Man United will enter Saturday’s game losing each of their last four Premier League games away from Old Trafford.

Brighton vs Man United team news
Potter could be compelled to make only one massive shift this Saturday as a result of Mwepu’s injury, but he should mostly continue with the XI that defeated Wolves, with ex-Red Devil Danny Welbeck getting the start over Neal Maupay to face his old club.
Juan Mata and Phil Jones were both handed their Old Trafford farewells against Brentford, and the former may even keep his starting spot, but Fred’s availability may force Nemanja Matic to retire to the replacements bench. Man United, on the other hand, did not pick up any new issues in Monday’s encounter, although there are concerns that Harry Maguire (knee Injury) and Jadon Sancho may miss the rest of the season, along with Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw.
Brighton vs Man United prediction
One of the Premier League’s bad-performing teams at home will face a Man United side that can’t stop losing on the road which will make for an interesting matchup for sure. Ronaldo is always capable of generating goals for this Man United side, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see the match end in a draw.
Our prediction will be Ronaldo to score and under 3.5 goals.
