Two of the biggest clubs in European football clash in the Champions League on Tuesday night, with Bayern Munich hosting Barcelona in Group C.
Bayern Munich opened their UCL campaign with a 2-0 win at Inter Milan last Wednesday, while Barcelona defeated Viktoria Plzen 5-1 at the Camp Nou.
There’s no denying that this season is a test season for the Catalan giants, who have had an impressive summer transfer window that has helped to get their campaign off to a strong start.
Last time out, Barcelona trounced Cadiz who they haven’t defeated since 2006 on Saturday 4-0, and have now won their last five games in all competitions.
Their coach Xavi is building a quality squad and the arrival of Lewandowski, a former Bayern player, adds more quality to it. They seem poised to overcome any challenge with the presence of the world-class centre-forward.
Bayern Munich, on the other hand, will welcome Lewandoski back to the Allianz Arena after his summer forced move to Barcelona. Already replaced with Sadio Mane from Liverpool, the Munich side will hope to show the Polish striker what he is missing by defeating his new side.
