Arsenal vs Leeds match preview & betting prediction

Match preview

Arsenal will host Leeds United in their quest to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Mikel Arteta’s young team has turned their season around, beating Chelsea, Man United and West Ham consecutively. Still, with Tottenham on their tails ahead of the crucial North London derby next week, Arteta will require back to back wins.

Leeds United are now holding 17th place on the table, but are only two points ahead of Everton despite having played a game more.

Leeds have now conceded 72 league goals this season, the worst record in the division, but they will at least carry a three-game unbeaten run to the Emirates, having kept back-to-back clean sheets against Watford and Crystal Palace.

Arsenal vs Leeds team news

Having failed to score, Eddie Nketiah put in a strong performance last time out and he should retain his starting spot over Alexandre Lacazette, while Martinelli might replace Emile Smith Rowe. Ben White missed the win over West Ham due to a tight hamstring, and his place in the squad this weekend is still in doubt despite his return to training. Holding can be confident about the possibility of starting again after a man-of-the-match performance at the London Stadium.

Leeds on the other hand, have been devastated by the news that Stuart Dallas will be out for a long time after suffering a femoral fracture late in the first half against Man City. Liam Cooper, on the other hand, is likely to be fit for the Whites after recovering from a knee injury.

Arsenal vs Leeds prediction

Leeds are coming off a 4-0 loss to City, while Arsenal have scored nine goals in their last three wins. The Gunners have yet to concede at home to a team in the bottom six.
