Pogba sustains a nasty knee injury

Paul Pogba is set to miss out on Juventus’ match up against Barcelona tomorrow in Dallas due to a knee injury.

The former Bianconeri midfielder returned to Turin six years after leaving for a second stint with Manchester United.

However, after more than a turbulent half-decade at Old Trafford, the World Cup winner has returned to join Massimiliano Allegri’s side, where he first made his name.

However, both player and coach may now be scrambling to try to make the start of the new season after Pogba was sidelined in training with a problem in his lateral meniscus, forcing him to miss Wednesday’s match against Barcelona in Texas.

“After complaining of pain in his right knee, Paul Pogba underwent radiological examinations, which revealed a lateral meniscus lesion.”

“He will have a specialist orthopaedic consultation in the coming hours.” As a result, in order to continue treatment, he will not be travelling to Dallas,” Juventus confirmed in an official statement on Monday.
