Arsenal ready to break bank for €100m Osimhen

Per report in Italy, Arsenal are ready to match Napoli’s valuation of 23 year old Nigerian striker Osimhen after the striker opened up about his future.

Earlier, the management of the Italian club rejected a €65m offer from Arsenal as it didn’t meet their price tag of €100m for Osimhen. Arsenal have been so keen on signing the striker, so they’ve gone ahead to make a second offer of €100m for the player.

According to the Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sports, Arsenal are itching to sign the 23-year-old Nigeria International as a successor for  former striker Alexandre Lacazette, who returned to Lyon on a free transfer this summer.

If this transfer proves successful, Osimhen will become Arsenal’s record signing. The Gunners’ previous record signing was Nicolas Pepe, bought for £72m from Lille in 2019.
