Arsenal to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko this week

Arsenal hopes to reach an agreement with Manchester City to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko this week.

The entire transfer fee for the Ukraine international is likely to be about £30 million, with personal terms not considered to be an issue.

The contract is still being negotiated, and there is rising optimism that it will be concluded soon. Zinchenko has been at Man City for little over six years winning 5 PL titles since joining as a teenager from Russian club Ufa.

The 25-year-old, who was trained by Mikel Arteta as an assistant to Man City manager Pep Guardiola, can play a range of positions, including left-back and central midfield.

Man City, meanwhile, want to bring in a left-back and are still interested in Brighton’s Marc Cucurella, according to Sky Sports News.

After signing from Getafe in a move worth roughly £15 million last summer, the 23-year-old had a highly successful first season in the Premier League.

Brighton do not want Cucurella to leave, and it would take a massive offer for them to sell him given that he has four years left on his deal at the Amex.
