Chelsea Striker, Lukaku ‘pushing for Inter return’

According to Football Italia, Romelu Lukaku is reportedly pushing for a return to Inter Milan this summer amidst interest from PSG.

Reports have it that Lukaku has already held video calls with Nerazzurri chiefs over a possible exit from Chelsea and can possibly leave as soon as the transfer window opens on June 10th.

Lukaku who’s Chelsea‘s record-signing, cost the Blues £97.5 million wants to depart the club within the summer as he isn’t proud of his role or performances since returning to Chelsea last summer.

However, the Belgian star is expected to halve his huge £325,000-a-week wages if he’s to secure his return to the San Siro. This is the most important obstacle to his desire.

Lukaku won the Scudetto with Inter Milan last season, and may be a strong reason for his preference of a return there.

Moreover, Chelsea want to recoup an oversized part of the transfer fee for Lukaku which may be a problem for a cash-strapped Inter Milan.

It is expected that Inter Milan will try to sell former strike partner, Lautauro Martinez to balance the books with London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham both keeping tabs on the £59m-rated Argentine.

The former Everton and Manchester United striker has also been linked to Paris Saint-Germain as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Kylian Mbappe.
